Playing!
Well have been very self indulgent recently, and despite the long "to do" list, stuck on my wall...............I've been making something for me!! It occurred to me that I don't actually have anything with my flowers on, so I have made myself a canvas! I covered the canvas with some scrummy Creative Impressions paper and distressed the edges with black distress ink. The words from the sheet off paper..."Be true to yourself" I tore out and attached to the bottom corner of the canvas. I used some left over paper to cut out some flowers, the edges of which were again distressed, before the flowers were covered completely in Glossy Accents.I attached these to the canvas, and added gems using stickles paint. more flowers were painted on, gems added and leaves painted. The canvas was then finished off with butterfly stickers. The colour has not come out very well in the photo, as it is actually darker and more gothicy than it appears! :)

Dufex cards
Well..........I saw these beautiful dufex card blanks, which I thought might make stunning cards when married with my flowers and some butterflies, so voila, here's the result! The blue card has been folded and cut according to the instructions included with the card blanks, a piece of Joanna Sheen backing paper was added to the middle panel, before I painted my flowers, again highlighted with flat backed gems. Two butterfly stickers were added to complete the card.
For the p**k (!) card I cut the dufex blank and attached a panel to the front of a pearl card blank. I cut a section form the edge of the card blank, using deckle edge scissors, and attached another section of the dufex card to the inside back of the card. I then used a corner punch to decorate the front corners of the card. Flowers and butterfly were then added as before.

Birthday card
I made this card for my very dear "virtual" twin sister, whose birthday is in a few days time. Unfortunately, having despatched it inside a parcel to her well over two weeks ago, there is still no sign of it arriving :( The card is made using some stunning papers and stickers from Creative Imaginations. I have also used my own stamp designs, some of which are on stampbord, and one of them is done with UTEE. There is also a butterfly that I have made using my stamp and fantasy fibres. The edges have all been distressed using distress ink pads. Good news, the parcel arrived, one month and 1one day after despatch!

Just in case.................
Bet you all thought I haven't been being very productive recently, well I thought I'd explain.......I have made two cards and a birthday pressie, but I can't put them on here, because the intended recipients will see them! Therefore I decided to pop a picture of one of my oil paintings on here, just so any visitors would have something to look at!

Last ones
On a roll!
Well I am still making ATCs, these are made in the same way as the last ones except that I have used lovely Acetate butterfly and dragonfly stickers that I bought ages ago from QVC.I have also used flower soft on the bulrushes. The gold and white flowers and leaves have been painted using Pebeo touch and cerne releif paints.

More ATCs
Well now I've been playing with crystal lacquers now. These crystal lacquer butterflies are mounted onto some of that lovely plastic that is transparent and yet holographic and looks like silk. I have also painted "the flowers" again and gone around the edges with a gold acrylic dabber.
This last green one had gold peel offs placed around the edges, which were also filled in with crystal lacquers, and embellished with flat backed jewels. Bindis were added to the butterfly bodies as a finishing touch.

Carpet ATC
Now what happened was this..............I went to visit a crafty friend recently, along with a few other crafty friends, yes, you know who you are! Anyway during the course of a discussion I had to put up with a fair amount of teasing as a result of having mentioned that I had used a remnant of carpet on top of a desk in my bedroom! (Apparently this is not something that everyone does! :0) ) As a result I was forced to explain that this piece of carpet is in fact so brilliant for this purpose, that I offered to make a craft item for each of them using the aforementioned carpet..................hence this teddy ATC..........yes the teddy IS made of carpet! :)
Glittery butterfly ATCs
Well having had some free time, I decided to have a play making some ATCs. I had a lovely piece flower patterned material, which I used to cover some ATCs (the left overs were used as accents on other ATCs, waste not want not! :) ) I also used some Papermania and (I think) Basic grey papers to cover other ATCs. I edged the material with Adirondack acrylic dabber, drew some flowers on some with brush markers, highlighted with flat backed jewels. The ATCs were finished off with some of my own design butterflies, which were stamped onto acetate, and glittered on the reverse. These were attached using dst and sticky pads.
And yes I know there is some pink in here.............that's because I still have some friends who like pink..............there's no hope for some people I'm afraid! :)

Another 21st Birthday card
This is another very simple 21st birthday card for my son, I have used a lovely piece of paper from Flairdesigns, and a couple of old photos of my son. All edges have been distressed with distress inks, The greeting was then written in by hand, using a galaxy marker, and highlighted with a sakura pen.

21st Birthdy Card
Well we are rapidly racing towards my son's 21st birthday, consequently I had to make a card for my MIL to give to him! I wanted to do something quite simple, because firstly he's a guy, and secondly he's not really into cards!! I therefore decorated a pearl card blank, (from a lovely pack from Craft Central,) with a piece of DCWV rock star paper, which I trimmed with gold peel offs. I then took some diecut cardboard letters, and embossed them with gold powder. I cut a number 21 out of a piece of scrap cardboard and embossed that also. I trimmed the 21 with another peel off, and attached all the lettering to the card.
