Elegant card

A simple little card today, which I thought might be suitable for the MTTC challenge this week. I have used my lily stamp, which I have decoupaged. I have also cut the edge again with a Multi Shaper punch. The card has been finished off with peel offs and a hand written greeting.

Rose card

I am now getting carried away doing these tall slim cards, this one is made using some fabulous rose backing paper, more gold peel offs and my Design Rose stamp on shrink plastic.

New year cards

Having run out of time making Chrissy cards, I have had to make a few New Year cards, quite simple again, using my stamps and peel offs. The rose has actually been stamped in gold on black shrink plastic.

Peacock...............again!

I was trying to use some more of my stamps, but ended up back with the peacocks! Have stamped and embossed the head with cosmic shimmer embossing powder, and mounted on some lovely DCWV paper, and edged with a fancy punch and peel offs.

Feather plaque

Having had a little bit of playtime today, when I should have been making cards, I happened upon an mdf plaque that I bought recently, so I decided to do something with it! I coloured the plaque with Adirondack acrylic dabbers , eggplant, black and gold. I then triple thick embossed it with clear UTEE, adding a sprinkling of Malachite Fire Aurora cosmic shimmer embossing powder on the third go. I then inked my peacock feather stamp with a gold encore ink pad and stamped into the still molten powder.

Leaf card

I've tried something a bit different for me this time........ as you can see I have been playing with my cuttlebug again, and used one of my paintings as a sort of focal point! The greeting was hand written, and the edges of the card were distressed with Ranger distress ink. Don't know if I'm very happy with the result, but hey ho!

Christmas cracker ATC

When my friend produced some crackers for a Christmas party we had on Saturday, I couldn't get over the lovely cream and gold decoration on them, complete with stuck on gems. So after pulling the crackers I have made this ATC........unfortunately the foiling hasn't scanned very well!

CSF Christmas project 2008

These are the triangles that I have made for the CSF Christmas project. We are in teams of 4 and have each made 2 letters for the word Christmas, which we then swap. We have also all made our own S so that when we each receive all the letters we are able to make a banner decoration. I have used all my own stamps and embossed them in gold. The decoration on the letters is hand drawn, and the edges of the letters are finished with gold Krylon.........the edges of the triangles are finished with gold acrylic dabber.

Another alternative christmas card

I made this Christmas card for a friend who, like me favours the darker things in life............the background was embossed with a cuttlebug folder which I then stroked with a gold ink pad and embossed with black embossing powder. The greeting and Madonna are two of my own designs, and I finished off with a black ribbon.

6 Geese.................

........a laying! This is a Fat book page that I have made for the 12 days of Christmas Fat Book swap on CSF. Very simple, I drew the image, and coloured it in using Aquatones, scanned it and then added the words on the laptop, before printing it out and mounting it on antique gold card.

Feather thankyou card

Just made another card, this time using some fabulous magic foil card that got at the NEC this weekend, which when stamped with versamark and clear detail embossing powder looks like it is foiled. I used my own design peacock feather stamp. The greeting is written by hand with a silver Krylon pen, shadowed with a black pen, and the card is edged with silver krylon also.

Unicorn canvas

Another canvas, this time using my new Unicorn stamp. The background is painted with Adirondack acrylic dabbers. The unicorn itself is stamped on textured "old" gold paper. The swirl is stamped with olive green stazon, a couple of times, and then embossed in gold. The words were written on freehand...........(I know, you can tell!!!)

Christmas card

Having had a bit of a mad session making heaps of ATCs, I decided to put some to use making Christmas cards.........here is one. I have used my Madonna stamp, which has been embossed in gold and mounted on some fabulous Dovecraft Christmas paper, and edged with Krylon pen. The background is a piece of black card, embossed with my cuttlebug, and then embossed with gold detail embossing powder, (a brilliant idea by Kay :) ). The card was edged with starlite black brilliance ink pad, and finished off with peel offs.

Last one.................

I promise.....no more peacocks, only I wanted to blog this one, as it has a different layout. I cut a section from the edge of the card, before attaching the peacock panel. I used the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder to emboss a matching piece of card, which I attache inside the back of the card. Then I cut a strip from the section that I had removed, and attached this to the inside back of the card, with a peel off Happy birthday on it. The edges were finished off with gold peel offs.

And.....................

.....another peacock card. I have used the cuttlebug on a piece of gold mirri card for this one, and......my stamp again! The edges have again been finished with krylon pen and gold peel offs.

Tall slim peacock card

Have made another card this evening using another of my stamps. It is made in the same way as the others. I had to mount the cut out head onto gold mirri card, in order for it not to blend into the background too much.

And another.........

..........card, made using my Cuttlebug.........(yes Fifi, I do love it :) ) This card is made in the same way as the last one

Kingfisher card

More cuttlebug embossing here. I have used a print out of my kingfisher painting, mounted on a piece of card which has been coloured with alchohol inks, as the main focus. I have used peel offs to finish the edges.

Birthday feather

Another birthday card, using my new cuttlebug birthday embossing folder, and my feather again. Everything edged with Krylon, and gold peel offs to finish it off.

Birthday card

I have made another card today, using my peacock feather stamp, and more cuttlebug embossing. Black peel offs complete the edge of the card, and the greeting is written on by hand.

Friday, 17 October 2008

Alternative christmas card

A friend asked me to make her Christmas card using my peacock feather stamp.........not a very Christmassy image! So I employed my Christmas embossing folder to emboss a panel of red satin card. I stamped my feather on pearl card, and embossed it with gold powder. I coloured the feather with a gold galaxy marker, watered down with a wet paintbrush. I tore the feather out, and edged it and the embossed panel with a gold Krylon pen. I attached the panel to a cream pearl card, and added peel offs around the edge. I atttached the feather with 3d pads and finished off with a gold Merry Christmas peel off.

Cuttlebug skinny and moos

Still playing with my cuttlebug, this time I have made a skinny and two matching moos, using my own design stamps. Again they were edged with Krylon pens.

Cuttlebug ATC

Haven't had much time to play today, but I have made a cuttlebug ATC. The fabby card was embossed with the cuttlebug, and edged with Krylon. I printed out the painting of the kingfisher, matted it onto the same card, and then onto a bit of card that had been coloured with alchohol inks, which I also edged with Krylon. This was all then mounted onto the ATC.

Kingfisher ATC

Today I used a remnant of paper to make an ATC for a friend, made in the same way as the canvasses, using a print of one of my paintings, doodled trees and edged with Krylon.

The second one of the pair....................

I wanted to make a pair of these 5 X 5 canvasses, so this is the second one of the pair, made in the same way as the previous one :)

Autumn canvas

I have made this 5" x 5" canvas by covering it with a piece of decorative paper, and neatening the edges with a piece of self adhesive DCWV gros grain ribbon. I have printed out one of my paintings and sandwiched it in between two slide mounts, and put them into a frame. I have attached this to the canvas using a piece of ribbon, and drawn some trees with a sharpie marker.

More doodling.............

Another ATC today, with a waterfall that I doodled with a biro, and coloured in using Lyra Aquacolour crayons and Aquatone sticks. The edge of the ATC was finished with a Krylon pen

Cuttlebug ATC

I've been playing with my new cuttlebug, and some embossing folders, and I have made this ATC, using a print of one of my landscape oil paintings. The edges were finished with a Krylon pen.

Horse ATCs

Have had a bit of a play with my latest stamps, which can be found on my website, and have made these ATCs. The horses have been coloured in using Lyra Aquacolour crayons. The bottom one has been edged with acrylic dabber, and the top one with distress ink.

Undersea Canvas

Another canvas, more stampbord, and more of my stamp designs, this time coloured in with crystal laquers.

Triple thick ATC

For a change, I thought I'd have a go at triple thick embossing on the stampbord, so using another of my stamps I did an ATC of my friends dog. I added the bones and name with a sharpie marker, and the paw prints with a white Galaxy marker. The edges were finished of with a black acrylic dabber.

Horse herd canvas

Yet another canvas, again using stampbord that I have doodled some horses on, and then I painted the trees onto the canvas and mounted the stampbord pieces onto it.

Florries Challenge

Here is an ATC that I have made for Florries Challenge on CSF this week. I have coloured a stampbord ATC with distress inks and then used a stylus to etch the horse. I then coloured him with Marvy le plume pens and doodled some trees with sharpie marker and highlited them with the stylus.
