E is for..................

It is E week on the Alphabet challenge blog So I have done Encaustic art and Elephant! I drew the elephant, and coloured him with watercolour pencils. The panel was done with unusaully, (for me) colourful encaustic waxes, mounted and attached to one of the distressed card blanks.

...........at least for today! Same old, .............encaustic panel, triple matted and attached to another distressed card blank.

And another one, simple card, encaustic panel matted onto gold mirri and attached to distressed card blank with 3D pads, and peel off sentiment added to finish off.

..........another one.........bet you're getting bored now! Another of the encaustic panels, with more of the holographic silver fish. (Even if they look blue in the scan!)

.........not pink this time! Another of the encaustic art panels I did the other day, with some hand scribed holographic card fishes.

The other day I had a bit of a play with my encaustic art waxes, and this is one of the results! It was done on a piece of black encaustic card, mounted onto black and then cerise, (not really pink) mirri card and attached to a Kanban silver/black distressed card blank.

At the request of one of my friends, I have been having another dabble with encaustic art. Not much I can say about them really.....they are designed to fit in a DL envelope, and are made using wax! Oh........and the Pegasus is one of my own design stamps.

Postal Book Envelope

Today I've made my envelope for the CSF postal book. This is a C5 sized envelope. I used a lovely piece of Postcard paper to cover a manilla envelope, the edges of which I had distressed using a walnut stain distress ink pad. I inserted an eyelet, and brad to enable the envelope to be fastened with a length of fibre. For the insert I did an encaustic art picture to make a postcard. On the reverse I wrote Postcard and drew a stamp to give the impression of a picture postcard. The address and message contain subtle references to CSF and it's 2nd birthday :)
