Mother and child Arch

The challenge on Gothic Arches this week is Mother and Child. I decided to use a photo of my son's old pony, with one of her foals. I used a lovely piece of background paper from Papermania behind the image. I then stamped one of my swirls stamps, and traced over them with black stickles. The edges were finished off with Adirondack acrylic dabber.

Fantasy Arch

This weeks challenge on Gothic Arches is Fantasy, so I have used my Pegasus stamp, on some hand made paper, which I have glittered with irridescent glitter. The background arch was made from burgundy card, which I covered with lace paper, edged with gold acrylic dabber, and sprinkled randomly with a mixture of green and gold glitter.

Dragonfly

The challenge this week on Wednesday Stamper is to make a skinny, and the Tanda Teaser is Up in the Air, so I decided to combine the two, and made this skinny. I have used my swirl stamps in the background, highlighted with a white gel pen. I then added accent beads and acrylic dabbers. I then used my dragonfly stamp and some fantasy film and illusion card to make the dragonfly.

A Bird in the hand..................

The Tanda Teaser Challenge this week is to encorporate a bird image into your work. I used my heron silhouette stamp onto a brayered background. I also used my barbed wire stamp down the edge of the card. I cut around the edge of the barbed wire and used a black pen to shadow the wire. I covered the inside of the card with some decorative paper, and used the same paper to mount the heron panel, along with some gold mirri card. The leaf was also cut from the same sheet of paper.

Two more swirls cards

I am still playing with my swirls stamps, this time using them on square cards. I again embossed them, and cut around them. I lined the card with nice paper onto which I also stamped my butterflies and dragonflies, which I cut out and adhered to the front. I also cut out some corners from the same paper, using the cuttlebug.

And more..................

Tall swirl cards, made in a very similar fashion to the last two :)

Swirls cards

At last I have found time to play with my new Swirls stamps. Having stamped and embossed them using some cosmic shimmer powders, I cut around the swirl to give a more interesting front edge to the card. I then made an insert using patterned paper. Using my cuttlebug, I cut and embossed some butterflies from the same paper, and attached these to the front. The green card also had a strip of the paper and peel offs added to finish, whereas the purple card had a couple of bindis and a hand written greeting added.

Dog FB page

I have joined a Fat Book list on Craft Swap Forum, which involves making a dog page and a cat page. This is my dog page, I have used a couple of my own stamps, which are available from my website And the edges have been aged with distress ink.

Cherish card

A simple card this time, because I was playing with my Bug again, this time using the Cherish sizzlets alphabet. I cut out the Happy Birthday and then made the card around that. I used another piece of the Creative Imaginations paper, and one of my new swirls stamps, available from my website , stamped in Fired brick distress ink. The edges of the card were then distressed using the same distress ink pad.

Gothic Arch challenge

This weeks challenge on Gothic Arches this week is Grunge......so I have taken the plunge and made my first ever gothic arch! I used somefabulous Bo Bunny paper, and drew the barbed wire on freehand. I then stamped my own design rose and dragon stamps and mounted them on. Highlighting has been done with a sumogrip pencil and white gel pen. I then wrote the words and blackened the edge with a galaxy marker to finish off.

Art Creations Friday challenge no. 8

I have actually made a skinny for the Art Creations Friday Challenge I printed the lovely background image and stamped my own design rose and swirl stamps. I used distress ink round the edges, added a die cut butterfly and some chipboard words.

The top row are actually silver holographic card, with silver peel offs and flowers which have been debossed with a scribing tool.
