Landscapes............

In the past I have painted a few landscapes in oil, whilst I enjoyed doing it at the time, it is no longer a medium that I use. I have however recently tried my hand at landscape paintings in acrylic, and this is my first, it is a small block canvas showing the cooling towers at Ironbridge power station.............
And below are a few of my previous oil landscapes..............

I'm back!

Well, I can't believe it is 2 1/2 years since I last posted on this blog! It has been an extremely eventful and hectic two years, during which I have been able to do very little art or craft work. However hopefully things are now settling down a bit so that I am going to be able to get more done. I wanted to post a few of my pet portraits on here, which I have done over the years, and some other bits and pieces, so I will start with the pet/animal portraits...................

I is for Icy colours

Hi all, this weeks letter on the Alphabet challenge is I.......for icy colours.......this is my effort. I made the background of this card by making a small dolphin stencil and using a grey pencil to stencil the dolphins. I cut an oval of card and paper pricked freehand  design round that and in the corners of the card. I highlighted the paper pricking with silver pen. I drew the dolphins freehand onto different holographic card drew in the details and adhered them to the front.

G is for Green

Morning all, this week on the Alphabet challenge blog we are on G is for Green, here is what I have made. I drew the little teddies, cut them out and mounted them on green, then plaid paper. The corners of the images were highlighted with dimensional paint.

F is for flowers

Hi all, we are onto F again on over on the Alphabet challenge blog. Here is my F for flowers card. I used a purple card blank, and cut the edge with a border punch, and I used the same punch to edge a piece of pearlised paper to mount on the front, which I drew round with a gel pen. I made the large flowers from glittery paper, and cut the smaller ones from pale blue paper, and the leaves from green card. Details were then added with pens and dimensional paints.

Dragonfly Skinny

This week over on the Alphabet challenge blog, we are on D or dragonflies, I have made a skinny, using one of my own design dragonfly stamps. I have stamped the body onto illusion card, and made the wings using fantasy film. The background is decorated with my own design swirl stamps and accent beads. The edges were coloured with gold Adirondack dabber.
I have also realised I have not put the last few challenges onto my blog, so here is my chocolate colours ATC. This was done using distress ink on the blank, the trees were drawn with black permanent marker, and the horse was then scraped away using a scribing tool, and coloured using a brush marker.
